EXERCISE DESCRIPTION

This exercise is a designed to begin a warm-up, to help raise energy, to release tension, and to feel grounded.

  1. Begin by standing
  2. You may close your eyes, keep them half-closed, or leave them open.
  3. Take a few breaths and try to anchor yourself in the here and now
  4. Begin bouncing and/or shaking

The exercise can start gradually, intensifying the bouncing little by little. Likewise, to end, gradually decelerate the bouncing until returning to a stillness.

TAKING IT FURTHER

This exercise can be done in silence or with music, with particular attention given to the skin, fascia, muscles, bones, or organs.
